Jesus is our Grand Parent

“And God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them…” Genesis 1:26-28

After making the earth a habitation for mankind, the crowning work of our Creator was the creation of Adam, perfect in form and beauty! Created in God’s image, Adam and his wife Eve was given stewardship over all the animals and the care of the planet. There is no evidence of evolution, involving the slow degrees of development of humanity from lower forms of animals, through the survival of the fittest and death of the less suitable! Such teaching denigrates the awesome creative power of God and degrades humanity made in His image, defrauding us of the original dignity of our origin as children of our Creator.

In the book “Patriarchs and Prophets”, it states,

“He who set the starry worlds on high and tinted with delicate skill the flowers of the field, who filled the earth and the heavens with the wonders of His power, when He came to crown His glorious work, to place one in the midst to stand as ruler of the fair earth, did not fail to create a being worthy of the hand that gave him life. The genealogy of our race, as given by inspiration, traces back its origin, not to a line of developing germs, mollusks, and quadrupeds, but to the great Creator. Though formed from the dust, Adam was “the son of God.”  {pg. 44.3}

What a magnificent Creator! He willing gave us life with freewill, the freedom to choose to serve Him or not. Do you recognize your heritage as a child of God? Though our grandparents sinned against their Maker, nevertheless, He loves us and gave His life to save you and me.

Praise Jesus, our Grandparent who died to save us!
