Jesus Christ is our Lord of Grace: “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart…But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:5-6, 8 KJVER
The Bible states that Noah was a just man and perfect in his generation for “he walked with God” (Genesis 6:9 KJVER). During the time in which Noah lived the people were in revolt against God’s Law of Others-centered Love and evil reigned! Noah was regarded as a fanatic, preaching the world was coming to an end by a flood of water due to the violence of its inhabitants! Sound familiar? (Genesis 6:5, 11-13 KJVER)
In response to Noah’s warning the people only showed contempt and ridiculed him, but amid the global evil and disobedience, Noah distinguished himself by his unwavering allegiance to his Creator. He pleaded with the people to repent and find refuge in the ark which he was building in obedience to God’s instruction.
As you read and hear the news could it be that we are living in the last days of earth’s history? Living in an age of increasing violence, selfishness and its corrupting influence?
Are you like Noah, living a life that is a delight to your Creator, declaring by your lifestyle thankfulness to Him who has called us “out of darkness into His marvelous light”? (1 Peter 2:9 KJVER)
If not, why not commit your life to God today in gratitude to Him for His amazing, saving grace!
Praise the Lord of grace!
